For 15 years the NGO 1001fontaines has been pioneering an innovative response to the problem of safe drinking water in the world.
With the installation of safe water production units and the training of villagers to run them as social enterprises, we are deploying our proven solution to the poorest areas of the world.
As a result of 1001fontaines' projects in Cambodia, Madagascar and India, 500 jobs have been created and 400,000 villagers, including over 130,000 school children in more than 340 schools, have access to safe drinking water every day!
By 2020, our ambition is to provide more than one million people with safe drinking water.
Help us to change the world by making safe drinking water available to many more people.
By training an entrepreneur to produce this clean drinking water, by asking each consumer to pay $0.01 per liter of home-delivered water and by educating the community, 1001fontaines delivers a sustainable model, which will still produce water for decades to come.
